– COMMANDS – LEVEL 0 –

ACCESS – Shows userlevel on Mars.

Syntax:  /msg Mars ACCESS <#channel> [optional nick]

Example #1:  /msg mars ACCESS #oasis Siegfried
Example #2:  /msg Mars ACCESS #oasis (complete userlist)

 

AUTH – Authenticates user in a channel.

Syntax:  /msg Mars AUTH <#channel> <password>

Example:  /msg Mars AUTH #oasis supdud78

 

CHANINFO – Returns information about a registered channel.

Syntax:  /msg Mars CHANINFO <#channel>

Example:  /msg Mars CHANINFO #oasis

 

ISOPER – To determine if an individual is an IRC Operator.

Syntax:  /msg Mars ISOPER <nick>

Example:  /msg Mars ISOPER Siegfried

 

VERIFY – Verifies that an individual is a Channel Services Helper.

Syntax:  /msg Mars VERIFY <nick>

Example:  /msg Mars VERIFY bruss

 

CSHELP – Shows a list of active CS admins.

Syntax:  /msg Mars CSHELP

HELP – Directs ppl to join #channels, /msg Mars cshelp, or to this website.

Syntax:  /msg Mars HELP

– COMMANDS – LEVEL 1 –

DEAUTH – Deauthenticates a user from Mars database specific to a channel.

Syntax:  /msg Mars DEAUTH <nick>

Example:  /msg Mars DEAUTH #oasis

 

DEAUTHALL – Deauthenticates a user from Mars database on all channels.

Syntax:  /msg Mars DEAUTHALL <nick>

 

PASSWD – To set a new password on Mars specific to a channel.

Syntax:  /msg Mars PASSWD <#channel> <newpassword>

Example:  /msg Mars PASSWD #oasis blork53

 

SHOWCOMMANDS – Shows what commands you can use on that channel.

Syntax:  /msg Mars SHOWCOMMANDS <#channel>

Example:  /msg Mars SHOWCOMMANDS #CHANNELS

 

 

– COMMANDS – LEVEL 50 –

KICK – Kicks a user from the channel using Mars.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars KICK <#channel> <nick> [optional
reason]

Example:  /msg Mars KICK #oasis hatred out

 

TOPIC – Changes the channel topic using Mars.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars TOPIC <#channel> <newtopic>

Example:  /msg Mars TOPIC #oasis StarLink Help Channel

 

– COMMANDS – LEVEL 75 –

BAN – Bans a user from the channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars BAN <#channel> <nick | [email protected]>

Example #1:  /msg Mars BAN #oasis hatred (user must be on channel)
Example #2:  /msg Mars BAN #oasis *!*[email protected]*.erols.com

 

UNBAN – Unbans a user from the channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars UNBAN <#channel> <nick | [email protected]>

Example #1:  /msg Mars UNBAN #oasis hatred (user must be on channel)
Example #2:  /msg Mars UNBAN #oasis *!*[email protected]*.erols.com

 

– COMMANDS – LEVEL 100 –

OP – Mars ops the indicated user on the channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars OP <#channel> <nick>

Example:  /msg Mars OP #oasis Joe

 

DEOP – Mars deops the indicated user on the channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars DEOP <#channel> <nick>

Example:  /msg Mars DEOP #oasis Kitana

 

INVITE – Invites an individual to the channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars INVITE <#channel> <nick>

Example:  /msg Mars INVITE #oasis Joe

 

MODE – Sets (+) or removes (-) a channel mode(s).

  Syntax:  /msg Mars MODE <#channel> +/-<modes> 

Example:  /msg Mars MODE #oasis -k * (you must use the * to remove
a keyword)

 

 

 

– COMMANDS – LEVEL 400 –

ADD – Adds a user to the op list on Mars thats specific to the channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars ADD <#channel> <nick | [email protected]>
<level> <password> aop (1 = yes, 0 = no)

Example #1:  /msg Mars ADD #oasis Joe 200 blurp61 1 (user must be
on the channel)
Example #2:  /msg Mars ADD #oasis [email protected]*.uu.net 200 blurp61 1

 

DEL – Removes a user to the op list on Mars thats specific to the channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars DEL <#channel> <nick | [email protected]>

Example #1:  /msg Mars DEL #oasis Joe (user must be on the channel)
Example #2:  /msg Mars DEL #oasis [email protected]*.uu.net

 

MODINFO – These special commands are used to modify information for a particular
user.

AOP – Changes user’s autoop on given channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars MODINFO <#channel> AOP <nick
| [email protected]> 1/0 (1 = yes, 0 = no)

Example #1:  /msg Mars MODINFO #oasis AOP Joe 1
Example #2:  /msg Mars MODINFO #oasis AOP [email protected]*.uu.net 1

 

HOST –  Changes user’s host address on given channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars MODINFO <#channel> HOST
<old [email protected]> <new [email protected]>

Example:  /msg Mars MODINFO #oasis HOST [email protected]*.uu.net [email protected]*.psi.net

 

LEVEL – Changes user’s level on given channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars MODINFO <#channel> LEVEL
<nick | [email protected]>  <new level>

Example #1:  /msg Mars MODINFO #oasis LEVEL Joe 450
Example #2:  /msg Mars MODINFO #oasis LEVEL [email protected]*.uu.net 450

 

NICK – Changes user’s nick on given channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars MODINFO <#channel> NICK
<nick | [email protected]>  <new nick>

Example #1:  /msg Mars MODINFO #oasis NICK Joe Bill
Example #2:  /msg Mars MODINFO #oasis NICK [email protected]*.uu.net Bill

 

PASSWD – Changes user’s password on given channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars MODINFO <#channel> PASSWD
<nick | [email protected]>  <new password>

Example #1:  /msg Mars MODINFO #oasis PASSWD Joe tra3lk74
Example #2:  /msg Mars MODINFO #oasis PASSWD [email protected]*.uu.net tra3lk74

 

 

ISAUTHED – Shows whether a user has authenticated with Mars on a channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars ISAUTHED <#channel> <nick>

Example:  /msg Mars ISAUTHED #chatzone Joe

 

LASTSEEN – Shows the last time that channel manager authenticated.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars LASTSEEN <#channel> <nick>

Example:  /msg Mars LASTSEEN #oasis Cid

 

– COMMANDS – LEVEL 450 –

JOIN – Makes Mars join the registered channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars JOIN <#channel>

Example:  /msg Mars JOIN #oasis

 

PART – Makes Mars leave the registered channel.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars PART <#channel>

Example:  /msg Mars PART #oasis

 

ADDCHAN – Causes Mars to come back into the channel when it has been restarted.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars ADDCHAN <#channel>

Example:  /msg Mars ADDCHAN #oasis

 

REMCHAN – Causes Mars not to come back into the channel when it has been
restarted.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars REMCHAN <#channel>

Example:  /msg Mars REMCHAN #oasis

 

DEFTOP – This saves a topic which Mars will set when it rejoins the channel.
restarted.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars DEFTOP <#channel> Topic

Example:  /msg Mars DEFTOP #oasis Welcome!

 

SDEFTOP – This shows the current default topic which has been set.
restarted.

  Syntax:  /msg Mars SDEFTOP <#channel>

Example:  /msg Mars SDEFTOP #oasis

 

– COMMANDS – LEVEL 500 –

No Commands – this level is used to designate the Channel Owner.
